Message from our Grand knight

Welcome to Father John J. McCarthy Council 12472. Our Council is very involved in the activities of Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church as Knights and as individuals. Under the Knightly organization the Brothers are involved in and complete many projects during the year. We participate in specific hours of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration each week, provide Altar servers for the 11 AM Sunday Mass, and are responsible for the Stations of the cross once during Lent. We are proud to erect a Nativity scene in front of the Church during the Christmas season, have a Knights of Columbus Choir, make Keep Christ in Christmas magnets available during the Advent season, and provide pancake breakfasts. Each year we have an annual Memorial Mass for departed Brother Knights and deceased family members of Knights, we participate in stripping the altar after the Feast of the Last Supper, and help Father Gálvez and other Church Ministries upon request. As members of the parish the Knights participate in parish ministries and lead or co-lead the Perpetual Adoration, Stewardship and Welcoming Committees. We hope this website provides a brief introduction to our council and The Knights of Columbus. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about our council or becoming a member.

Vivat Jesus!

Flag Retirement Box Now Available
The Knights of Columbus and Boy Scout Troop 63 have partnered to provide our parish community with a respectful way to retire worn, torn, or soiled American flags. A Flag Retirement Box is now located in the entrance area of the church. Parishioners are invited to place old or damaged flags in the box so they can be properly retired. The Knights of Columbus will maintain the collection box. Boy Scout Troop 63 will receive the flags and conduct an approved flag retirement ceremony to dispose of them with the honor and respect they deserve.

Thank you to our Scouts and Knights for helping ensure our nation’s flag is treated with dignity!

If you have a flag that is ready to be retired, please feel free to bring it by and place it in the box.

Worthy Brother Knights, Annual Dues are Due!!!
