What is the tournament?
The Blessed Sacrament Parish Youth Chess Tournament offers a stimulating and enjoyable experience for young chess enthusiasts. Participants can engage in friendly competition while honing their strategic skills.
Eligibility:
Open to students in grades 1-8 who attend Blessed Sacrament Catholic School or are parish members attending another school.
Format:
The Knights will provide a variety of pizzas, sodas, water, and tea for participants.

Format:
- Divisions: Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced.
- Structure: Four rounds using the Swiss format, ensuring fair matchups and exciting gameplay.
- Time Control: Timed matches to maintain a dynamic pace.
- Winners in each division receive winner’s certificates.
- All participants receive participation certificates.
- Top three players in each category (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) receive gift cards.
- Registration is now closed.
- 3:30 – 4:15 PM: Check-In, Round 1 Pairing/Board Assignments, Opening Remarks
- 4:15 PM: Round 1 Starts
- 4:45 PM: Round 2 Starts
- 5:05 PM: Pizza and Drinks
- 5:40 PM: Round 3 Starts
- 6:10 PM: Round 4 Starts
- 6:40 PM: Awards and Closing Remarks
